Guhring wins top spot on Google in under 24 hours!
Guhring Tools HR 500 HPC Reamer video was displayed at the top of Google's first page within 24 hours of it being added to our www.MC-Tooling.com Video Channel.
The top spot on Google is often referred to as the "Golden Triangle" (top left hand corner of first page), as it's the position that will attract the most clicks through from users!
As Mike Dinsdale, Managing Director of Guhring UK commented, I have known Alan for many years from his days at Cromwell Tools Group, Nikken, and the Hoffmann Group. I was very keen to support his efforts in creating a bespoke internet marketing resource for our industry right from the start.
Following his January newsletter about the benefits of adding videos (If You Don't Care About Video, You Should). I decided to send Alan some of our tooling videos, and was surprised when I received an email notifying me that within 24 hours of our HR 500 video being added to their video channel we had gained the number one position on Google.
However it wasn't until that evening when I got home, I had chance to look at it, as my wife was using her laptop at the time I asked her to Google it. I could then see for myself that it had surpassed all the other editorial and press releases the group had issued in the last 12 months. Even more interesting was my wife's reaction to watching the video, which clearly demonstrated to me the marketing impact/interest that videos can create even with the general public.
Still not sure if it's all worth bothering with, but you do remember this press release on the national news:
UK Government plans nationwide 2MB broadband service to every home.
Well the reason is that it's forecasted by 2012 that £1 in every £5 of all new business/enterprise in this country will be conducted online, hence why on the 29th January 2009 the Government published "The Digital Britain Report" that underlines the importance of the communications sector, and its crucial contribution to the economy and its role in building Britain's industrial future.
As part of our ongoing improvement of the services offered via the MC-Tooling.com site to our advertisers, the team have now completed upgraded the site software to allow videos to be embed directly into the adverts, this coupled with recording over 107,000 adverts/listings being opened in our first 6 months by visitors to the site means no other internet marketing service in the UK offers so much scope to promoting your goods/services for a fraction of the cost normally charged for this service.
All you need to do to add your videos to MC-Video channel is to either email it to us, or post to the address below, with a covering note giving us your approval for copyright. And we will do the rest F.O.C!

Help locating Broaching Tools
Robert Henderson of TS Henderson & Company thanked Alan Lee for helping them find a supplier of 15mm hexagon broaching tools they urgently needed for use on one of their CNC lathes
As Robert explained its often very difficult to find an engineering tooling item on the internet, due to the way that search engines normally rank both non-UK suppliers and database type directory sites, so you are forced to troll through them in the hope that you can find what you are looking for. This is really frustrating when you are busy and need to find a supplier quickly!
The moment I saw the site description, I knew I had found a site that could help me. There was even a telephone number clearly displayed, that I could use. Within minutes, from contacting them I had 3 specialist suppliers telephone numbers, and thanks to them I quickly located the broaching tools that I urgently needed.I have now bookmarked this site and strongly recommend others in the industry to do the same.
Alan stated that Roberts experience of using the internet was the original catalyst for creating the site because of our own frustration in trying to find tooling information.
Whilst most internet sites only allow contact via email, we are happy to take calls from users, as we want to create a really useful tool for the whole of the metal working industry to use, and welcome everyones input and feedback.
So why not visit Mc-Tooling "Eng-Toolstores" and see for yourself, or give Alan a ring on +44(0)133 279 9913 to learn more?
